If youвЂ™re in Diamond, you can play with anyone Platinum rank or higher. If youвЂ™re in Platinum you can play with players in Gold, Platinum, or Diamond. If youвЂ™re in Gold, you can play with players all the way up to Platinum. ThereвЂ™s a limit on which ranks are allowed to play with each other, which Riot has made a handy graphic to explain: TFT Ranked Restrictions Riot GamesД«asically what this graphic means is that if youвЂ™re in Iron, Bronze, or Silver, you can play with players in those ranks and all the way up to Gold. If anyone in the group is Platinum or above, you can queue with three friends. You can! Up until Gold, you can queue with up to five friends. So, while the mode while winning is important, surviving is even more crucial. But the higher you finish the more LP youвЂ™ll gain, and the lower you finish the more youвЂ™ll lose. That means winning wonвЂ™t be everything in ranked mode. The top four finishers in each game will gain LP, while the bottom four finishers will lose LP.

There are no promotion or demotion series in TFT. If you lose too much LP and go under zero, youвЂ™ll be demoted to the previous division. Unfortunately, if you lose LP it goes the same way. Once you get to division I, youвЂ™ll get promoted to the next tier. YouвЂ™ll start every tier in the IV division and every 100 LP youвЂ™ll be promoted to the next division up. YouвЂ™ll still be promoted by earning LP in Teamfight Tactics.
